Emily Wren
Romance Audiobook Narrator
+ Voice Actor
Warm. Wry. Intimate. Character-driven.
Emily Wren is an audiobook narrator, voice actor, and lifelong storyteller who believes the best performances begin with curiosity.
A theater kid who never grew out of it, Emily has spent most of her life studying what makes characters tick, why people say one thing when they mean another, and how much can happen in the silence between two lines.
She found a natural home in audiobook narration, where all of those things meet her lifelong love of books and an admittedly excessive appreciation for excellent banter. She is especially drawn to stories with complicated characters, emotional intelligence, sharp dialogue, and relationships that give her something to dig into.
Behind the microphone, Emily is a thoughtful and collaborative creative partner who takes the work seriously without taking herself quite so seriously. She likes clear communication, good questions, strong opinions held loosely, and working with people who care deeply about getting the story right.
She also believes fictional people should make better decisions.
She is grateful they usually don't.
About the Voice
Emily’s natural delivery is warm, intelligent, conversational, and emotionally grounded, with an expressive range that moves easily between dry wit, vulnerability, romantic tension, and high emotional stakes.
Her work is particularly well suited to:
contemporary romance
romantic comedy
romantasy and fantasy romance
emotionally complex, character-driven fiction
high-heat romance and erotica
witty, dialogue-heavy storytelling
first-person and deeply internal narration
She brings a strong ear for pacing, vocal distinction, emotional continuity, and the musicality of language, building characters who feel specific without allowing the performance to overpower the story.
Her natural speaking voice sits in a warm mezzo range, with the flexibility to move between intimate, close-mic narration and heightened emotional or comedic moments while maintaining a grounded, conversational feel.
And when the story gets spicy?
She is perfectly comfortable saying that sentence out loud.
Whatever that sentence happens to be.

Every story asks for something different from the voice telling it.
